It depends upon the features what you are looking for. So no one can say this is the best of all, but generally speaking it has good features to qualify to the list of good cameras.

It may be on the low-end of digital SLRs as an entry-level digital SLR, but in the universe of digital cameras, from point and shoots to pro SLRs, it's still one of the best, particularly in the hands of a good photographer. With a good photographer, the XTi can do just about everything a high-end SLR can do, with indistinguishable results. Paying more for an SLR will only get you a tougher body, a faster frames per second rate, or other additional features, but image quality is only marginally better in a more expensive body.

So, yes, in the right hands and used properly, the XTi is still one of the best digital photography cameras.
