Why wont my pictures show from my digital camera?

Why wont my pictures show from my digital camera?I have a cheap digital camera by Vistaquest. Never had no problems. But now I put it in the card reader and it says there is no files in my folder but instead it is a new folder looking thing and it wont open NO MATTER how I choose to open it!!!! Plus there is a thing that says BOOTEX?!?! Anyone help me??!?!?! Did I lose those pics for good????

From what you write it sounds like your card is corrupted... it happens.
You could try one of the free download recovery programs on the web.

If the problem persists and the recover doesn't work buy a new card.
