I can tell you what brand not to buy. DO NOT buy a Kodak. I bought one a few years ago and it was working fine. Now, most of my pictures are blurry. My sister had the same issues with hers (same brand). You said you have a Canon brand. If you know from experience that this is a good quality camera, get her one like yours. Good luck!
