How can I get my pictures from my digital camera to look more professional like in magazines and web ads??I have a cannon S400 and I dont want another camera, it's just fine cuz I dont blow pics up past 10x14, I just want to know how to make them look professional.

I use Picasa for editing my photos. My avatar really IS my cat. The pic was much larger, but now cropped. Picasa has many other features to improve the quality of your pics too.

As a professional photographer I can tell you that it really isn't the camera you use that makes great pictures. Yes they all offer bells and whistles but when it comes down to it, there is one thing above all else that produce the "professional" looking pictures found in magazines. Light. Whether it's a well controlled studio light or balancing light outdoors with added flash, reflectors, or scrims, it's all about controlling the light that's falling on your subject. I suggest you look into photo mags, search the web, or take a course to learn more. You'll be amazed at how your images will improve!
