Canon Power Shot A1000 IS digital camera tips....?

Hi,I did the following:

Canon Power Shot A1000 IS digital camera tips....?I'm no pro at taking pics. Basically, with this camera I want to take good pics at events... concerts, sporting events, wrestling, etc. Any tips? What setting should I have it on since the setting will usually be dark except for the point of the actual event. My last camera had a weak zoom, then again it was about 6 years old. So, I've updated to this one. Thanks

You don't need a couple of tips, you need to learn how to take photographs. Start with either a book on photographic basics or look at these online tutorials.

I f you don't put some time into learning what you are doing, all of your photos will be hit and miss - mostly miss. Taking good shots at concerts requires good equipment and skill.
