Canon or Olympus digital camera?I was initially planning to get a Canon Digital IXUS 130 IS but when i got to the shop, the salesman kept on pushing me towards an Olympus Mju 5010. Though the images from both camera screen showed that the Olympus 5010 has a brighter image, online reviews proved otherwise. I am not sure if it was the lighting, screen brightness or perhaps Canon cameras do tend to produce more yellowish images as compared to Olympus. It seems to me that he might have done so for a higher commission since he was overly biased towards that particular Olympus camera.
Any advice on which to get? I'm just looking for a camera for casual purposes. Thanks! :)

Between those two the Canon is better. It's got 2.8, 15-1500 50-1600. That Olympus has 3.5, 4-2000, 64-1600. You can do more with that particular Canon over that particular Olympus.

I cant find any hands on review of the 5010. All I find is press releases and "reviews" quoting Olympus specs and press releases.
I did find reviews on the 130IS. Seems its not exactly a perfect camera

The only advantage I see in the 130IS would be if you want the 15sec shutter. Otherwise theyre very similar. Cant really say which is best without seeing reviews and samples from the 5010 but based on reviews of the 130IS I would wait to see an accurate comparison
