That will depend on several things but in the end it depends on the file size which varies from file to file because of several factors.

Take some pictures. After upload look at the individual photo files to see what their properties are as in size of file. Then do the math and you'll have an approximate number.

Also your camera should tell you how photos you can still take, even if there are no files on the card.

I will tell you a little funny thing about jpgs. It depends on the photo how effective it is in making the size smaller.

If you take the same settings lets say Jpg High quality and photograph a landscape with a nice blue sky and fields of even coloured flowers. Then you might end up with a 1 Mbyte JPG. But with the same settings photograph how a muddy path goes up within the woods with trees and leafs creating texture in your picture and the file might be 3-4 Mbyte.

Yup indeed it isn't a fixed value at all so nobody knows really. You can though take a filesize you can expect like 2,5Mbyte for a high quality JPG and use this as basic measure.

In the end you'll find that 4Gbyte can hold about a few thousand pictures. Indeed that is such a large amount of pictures that you don't have to worry about space. The time that we had 32Mb memory cards is long over!

Now then yes it was really that you could count how much more pictures you still could take.
