Im shopping for a compact digital camera. Any advice?I'm pretty sure that i'm going to get either a Canon or a Nikon. I want one under 200 dollars, more than 3x zoom, 10+ megapixels. I have a few that i'm considering, but I'm just wondering if there's anything I should know. Most of the cameras I have looked at have had some bad reviews saying that the pictures are grainy, but it could just be a fluke? Do you know if this is true! Thanks!
Sarah
Get the Nikon s210, very thin and small and has great quality.

Don't go for the higher megapixels. That is half the cause of grainy pics on compact cameras. Make sure it has at least a P mode. Otherwise you'll come back here complaining about something and we won't be able to help you. A and S are also useful. Don't get suckered into colors, flip screen, touch screen, 2 screens, in camera editing, megapixels, IS or VR. Don't buy the case, don't buy the warranty. If there is the XMZ134 you don't need to buy the XMZ136.
Just do the opposite of what the salesman says.
Grainy pictures are mainly from people taking pictures in the dark on full auto with 15mp on a 5X7mm sensor. It's just bad news.
