Joe Bonamassa - The Ballad Of John Henry Live In Glasgow 2009
This is a killer blues/rock performance from Joe Bonamassa at the O2 Academy. It is a folklore from West Virginia, a man called John Henry who raced against a steam powered hammer and won, but died afterwards. The tale has inspired plays, novels and many songs. This was Joe's second song that night, Joe played for 2 hours, plus a great acoustic support act. Sorry about the audio/visual quality - I was using an Olympus compact camera, that's not a pretext for my shaky filming though! Fortunately no "kill joy" security interrupted me. A night of entertainment quickly transformed into an outstanding, memorable concert. I first heard about him touring on my local radio station, and I thought "wth, it's a Monday night and I'm dayin' nothin' else." Crikey, I wasn't expecting this. Seriously, if he comes to a town near you, he's amazing live and I recommend you go see him. This is the feature song in his great 2009 album, 'The Ballad Of John Henry'. Enjoy! www.jbonamassa.com
TANGMERE at BROMLEY SOUTH 26 March 2008
34067 TANGMERE on The Cathedrals Express leaves Bromley South bound for Canterbury. 26th March 2008. I like the EMU driver sounding his horn and the reply from the Steam loco !!. Filmed using my Olympus MJU mini digital camera (perched on a bridge) hence the shaky start and shaky finish to the film. This was so I could could use my other camera to take some still photos. PLEASE NOTE : I will be uploading another version of this video, without the shaky start and finish, please keep looking in.
