How can I clean the lens of a digital camera without damaging it? Picture quality looks kind of soft/blurry.?Ever watch Saturday Night Live when Rachel Dratch pretends to be Barbara Walters and says, "Camera-man! My filter!" and then all of a sudden her face turns blurry? Well that's what my pictures are looking like., so any cleansing advice is very much appreciated. =) I'd rather not purchase a whole cleansing kit, (though I will if I have to) but any safe home remedies would be the most ideal!

I use those pre-packaged lens cleaning pads (similar to moist towelettes). They sell them at Wal-Mart $ 3 for a package of 50. I wrap a cotton swab with one of these towelettes, and wipe my lenses clean.

I've used Pentax and PhotoSilk lens cloths for many years. I've never used any liquids - might have to breathe on the lens once in a while for any stubborn smudges. Use a "lipstick" brush* to remove any loose particles of dust.
Actually I almost never clean my lenses - I clean the protective UV or Skylight filter that lives on every lens I own except my 16mm 180 degree angle of view full-frame fisheye.
* Its a brush in a tube that looks like a tube of lipstick.
