This dude stole my psp and I found out a month later that it was him and he sold it for 0. What do I do?It was in my science class, and we were all leaving the classroom for a bit so we could do a lab outside. I was listening to my psp and I shut it off and wrapped the earphones around it and put it inside my bookbag like I always do, so I guess the guy saw my psp while I was doing that. When I got back I found my bookbag opened and when I checked inside my psp was gone, but at least the bastard was thoughtful enough to leave behind my earphones and ontop of that, I also had a DS (I get bored on the bus, so I play Pokemon Platinum on it) and a digital camera (for a digital photography class) inside my bag that thankfully he didn't take as well. I had my suspicions that it was that guy, whose name is Erik, but I didn't want to blame him because I had no proof. So weeks go by and I am FUMING from the loss of my psp because I mean I worked my ass off for that thing and I bought it with money I earned and worked hard for and here comes some dude and just takes it like it's all good. About a month later,my friend Joseph comes up to me and tells me that Erik actually confessed to him saying that he DID steal it and where he hid it and everything, and that he also sold it too! That got me even more pissed off, because now I won't see my psp ever again :( that psp had all my personal photos in there and just a lot of things in general that meant alot to me that I'll never get back now. I'm not a confrontational person AT ALL, and I don't even talk to this Erik kid, so i'm not gonna go up to him and be like "Give me my psp right now" or "give me the $ 200 you made from it" because it's like I can't really force him to do it because he doesn't have to... I've been asking everyone for advice but they keep telling me to confront him about it which won't do any good because 1.) I'm too shy that's not me I can't do it 2.) There's no way I can MAKE him give me it or the $ 200 because it's like I go up to him ok give me the $ 200...or else what? I have no "or else" I'm just demanding it and he has the option to say yes or no because I can't MAKE him. I was wondering if there was anything I could do LEGALLY about this, please help :( I want my Steve back... (yes I even named my psp.)

The answer is pretty clear from your question. You OBVIOUSLY call the police.
And in the future, be smart enough not to take valuable things to school.

Contact school officials and/or the police. You may not have enough evidence to convict him, but maybe he'll get scared and spill the beans. I'd go to school officials first if I were you; then to police if that doesn't get you anywhere.
