Is it possible to make a regular digital camera into a UV camera?

Is it possible to make a regular digital camera into a UV camera?I know it's easy to turn a standard digital camera into a Near Infrared camera by removing the IR block filter and using an IR pass filter (unexposed, developed film).

Is it possible to do something similar but with UV? Are CMOS or CCD's sensitive to UV and what can be used as a UV pass filter?
I'm looking for a way to do it cheap, and using a cheap camera.

not to sure waht near infrared means but according to the ref below you can use a digital SLR for UV imagery
