filters on digital cameras?I am looking to buy a new digital camera since mine kinda broke. I found a nice one and it says that some special features are black & white gree filter, etc... As a photographer I should know what that means, but I dont. Can anyone help me out?

Filters are pieces of glass (or plastic) that go over the lens of a camera. They are either colored, or else they filter out invisible light like a UV filter.
In the old days with B&W film we used to use them to change the color sensitivity of the film. A red filter, for instance, would make a blue sky very dark, so clouds looked very dramatic. With color film, of course, they just change the colors.
Some digital cameras have menu choices that will turn pics to B&W, sepia tone, etc. I suppose these could be called 'filters'. I would rather do this in Photoshop. Also color filters are more easily applied in Photoshop, and more controllable.

Before digital, to get different tones and contrasts in B&W, colored filters were put on the lens.
Digital has now added in camera filters that do the same effect the screw on lens filters used to do when shooting B&W.
What the specs are saying is that the camera you are looking at has those in camera features.
Just do a web search on the effects of colored filters in B&W - you'll get a lot to look at.
