all digital cameras eat up the batteries you need to buy those rechargeable batteries i have a sony the camera is old i had it for 5 years but its the batteries that make the differences

I like my Kodak "Easyshare". It doesn't go through its battery THAT quickly, and its battery is rechargable. I have a electrical "outlet" that I can plug into my car's cigarette lighter and charge my battery whenever I need to. I also bought several spare rechargable batteries to have on hand. Its pretty decent, and its not wasteful.

Oh, and the camera is under $ 200, and is 8.0 megapixles (which is damned good).

you need to use a stronger rechargable battery like a NIMH battery.

My Nicon D50 came with it's own battery and depending on how much shooting I do, I can run two weeks before needing to charge it up again.
