Basically, the 1st has more memory, so it has less chance of crashing, and can run more programs simultaneously. I don't see how you're going to need 8gb of ram, but what do I know? It can come in quite handy if you are a games programmer or the likes.
They both have similar sized screens, and have identical graphics cards.
So if I had to go for one, I would pick the first. But it really depends on what you need to use the laptop for, and I'm assuming the second is much cheaper?
