olympus stylus digital camera?i think this camera looks really cool. does anybody own one or know a lot about it? I would like it because i like to go camping and to the beach and it would be nice to take my camera out on my kayak or to the ocean without worrying about dropping it or getting it wet.
any reviews would be helpful. is it worth the money???

the one im talking about is model 1030 i believe. its shockproof, waterproof, and freezeproof. I have a nice digital camera already but i just wnt a simple small one to take camping that wont get ruined.

I owned one of the older editions but from my time with the camera it has been great. Its small takes great pictures, has many different photo capture modes and can stand up to anything that is thrown at it. Now I'm not completely sure about the getting it wet part but overall it is well worth the money.

Olympus is not the tops in digital cameras, so check any model you are interested in on CNET.com. As far as water, it's deadly to most cameras. Cheap fix; place in a water-proof baggie. You can even take underwater pics, as long as the light is good.
