T-adapters are camera specific (for example, I have T-adapters for canon FD and canon eos, both of which use different T-adapters). Nikon uses a different T-adapter, etc.
If you had just read the description on your link (duh), you would see that these adapters are intended for "35mm SLRs" (film or digital), not compact cameras.
You cannot attach your compact camera to that telescope using the adapter you mentioned. I guess you can try butting up your camera lens to the viewfinder in the telescope and seeing if that works (I did something similar with a compact camera and a pair of binoculars - it sort of worked, but not really).

No. You will need an SLR camera withe the corresponding T-mount.
