Digital/Compact Camera: Which is better Canon PowerShot A3300 or Sony CyberShot DSC-W570?Buying a new digital camera. Which is better Canon or Sony, in terms of features, pictures, style, lenses, etc. I like the sweep panorama of Sony but the flash is sooo harsh. On the other hand, many people have been recommending Canon and they have been in the industry for a long time, unlike Sony who's a newbie. And also is the Carl Zeiss really that good and special? Why is so Sony talking crap like it's the new thing? My main purpose for this camera is to learn photography (taking beautiful scenes, nature, etc.) So if that is the case, which is better? Reviews would really help a lot. They're both 16 MP with 5x optical zoom so I'm kinda caught up choosing between these 2 excellent brands.

I'd go for the Canon. I find them better to use, and Canons are generally very good, because, as you say, they have been in the industry for such a long time. Also, whereas Sony make everything from TVs to cameras, Canon are specialists in the photography field, they therefore know what they are doing and produce better products.
